Mataji is the Chief Acharya for the resident adult seekers. Pujya Swamiji has been Mataji’s luminary since she came into contact with him at Mumbai in 1970, at the age of 18. After having been a student of Vedanta for 20 years, a student of Sanskrit for 12 years and a practicing gynecologist for 12 years, she joined the first full-time residential course at the Arsha Vidya Gurukulam at Anaikatti, Coimbatore in 1990. Credited with the rare distinction of having been a teacher of Sanskrit while being a student of Vedanta in the Anaikatti (Coimbatore) course, she continued as a teacher of Sanskrit and Vedanta there until 2000. Subsequently she conducted a full course in Vedanta and Sanskrit for resident and non-resident students in Nagpur between 2000 & 2004.

A gifted traditional teacher mataji teaches the Upanishads, Bhagavad Gita, prakarana granthas (texts written by traditional acharyas) and Sanskrit Grammar.
